Russ and Christine agree with Moroni 8:18

The LDS church would have us believe that God wasn't always God, but grew to the station or status of a God by obedience to laws, ordinances and principles.

But the Book of Mormon, Moroni 8:18 states that God is unchangeable from all eternity.

D&C 20:17: from everlasting to everlasting.



I agree with LDS scripture, not because LDSism is true, but rather because these two particular p***ages from LDS scripture agree with the Bible.

Gee Russ why is it that they can't agree with their own scripture when we do? Maybe this was written before Smith went totally off his rocket as all cult leaders eventually do?? IHS jim

The fact is, mormonism and the BoM teach different things. When Smith started writing the BoM he borrowed heavily from the Bible and this is why we see some Biblical truths in the BoM. Later, Smith veered off course and added his own "doctrines."

James, this is exactly what happens. Look at false prophets like David Koresh and Jim Jones just to name two. They started out faithful to the Holy Bible, Then veered more and more off course and taught bizarre things claiming it came from God..
