If Jesus is not God, as some claim, then why did the scribes and the pharisees consider His words blasphemous when he told the paralyzed man in Luke 5:20- "Man, your sins are forgiven you."

The following verse in Luke 5:21 reads: "And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone ?"

Psalm 51:4 reads: "Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight-That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge."

How can anyone explain away Jesus' divinity as GOD when presented with these verses?
Is it not the offended who has the power to forgive?

Acts 10:36- "The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all--..."
v42,43- "And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."

So, is Jesus GOD?
