The Mormons make a big deal about having "apostles." Of course, they are not the only group which claims to have apostles. Irvingites, for instance, claimed the same. However, the Mormon's original apostles have a very bad record of remaining faithful to Mormonism. Here is a look at the original "apostles" of the Mormon cult (note that most were excommunicated:

Mormons generally reply to objections regarding the dismal record of their so-called "apostles" by saying that Judas was apostate so why not other apostles? However, Jesus knew Judas "was a devil" when he appointed him, and ultimately his role was to betray Christ. Jesus foreknew Judas' role - Joseph Smith was a charlatan who appointed sycophants to be "apostles," and reaped the results! Joseph Smith's main goal was to have as much power as possible - and as many women as he could trick into his bed.
