View Full Version : Pastor Jeffress Tells Glenn Beck Off! Don't Tell Christians How to Vote!

Since Cruz has invested his campaign heavily in Mormons and their support, actually traveling around with notorious Mormon, Glenn Beck, I believe many Christians are finally seeing the light............when Beck started rebuking Christians for not following "their" God if they don't support Cruz (a supposed evangelical), Pastor Jeffress of the Baptist Church in Dallas confronted him:

Good for Jeffress - I hope other pastors begin to speak out about this!

Hi. I guess I would agree with the Pastor here, but I think I would have to stay in reserve mode on this. I mean there could come a point where we might have to consider implementing a clarion response say if the bulk of the field were composed of anti-American or an***hetical to her incorruptible profit, which incidentally isn’t that far off, e.g., ticket and non-ticket felons in this year’s process.

They say he has a “silent” base that is being underestimated. No question, his efforts are pulling in the middle-cl*** and blue-collar dems. Interesting, the established elites are so desperate, they are endorsing their own known adversary Cruz. I smell fear in that camp. Sorry, off topic, carry on.

Do you believe that I put up a similar thread on another forum, and "Admin" took it down? Admin. said it was "divisive." Well, hey, when Cruz hangs out with Mormons, doesn't deny he's a fulfillment of false Mormon prophecy, sure it's divisive! I can't believe these "thought police" that don't want pro-Trump people expressing their opinions !
What's happening to Free Speech in this country? They try to shut down Trump rallies, and his supporters (like myself) get shut down as well, even on a Christian forum?

Apparently the link is down. Here, on Free Republic, part of the quote remains:
"Robert Jeffress Rebukes Glenn Beck for Criticism of Southern Evangelicals
Robert Jeffress, pastor of the 12,000 member First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, is rebuking talk radio host Glenn Beck for his recent criticism of evangelical Christians who live in the South and are not supporting Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% ’s campaign to secure the Republican Presidential nomination.
“All throughout the South the Evangelicals are not listening to their God,” Beck said at a rally in Utah on Monday.
“Beck’s wacko comment speaks for itself,” Jeffress tells Breitbart News.
“However, by using the phrase ‘their God’ to refer to the God we evangelical Christians worship, Beck is finally admitting that the true God of the Bible is different than the god of the Book of Mormon. I congratulate Beck for his honesty in differentiating between the two,” Jeffress adds."

You are right - we are being stabbed in the back by Republicans. Paul Ryan wants to be President, and another Mormon, Romney, wants the nomination. It's sickening.

Is this due to something other than the GOPe element? You know, like conservative promises that largely fail to deliver once in office. There doesn’t seem to be any difference between them now. They’re handling business just like the liberal element with a blank check and a ready signature for corrupt lawmaking.
Big-gov’t,
over-tax,
over-reg,
under-balanced,
under-support of ally,
under-support of military,
over-codifying the PC culture.
He is turning the non-voter into voters by the gross due to his much criticized yet down to earth speech and content. They say he doesn’t have the character. I have got a belly-full of the complaint and they all carry much the same thread of reason, trying to dig up dirt without disabling the public’s concern of what’s going on. The complaints have reached right into some of the most-trusted pro-American voices we have yet turn off to Donald’s points. Some of them are just not spending time on them. They have cut and run because the GOP base is split, and I have to agree, the majority are siding w/common sense, not with the donor club. There are other reasons quite substantial why we shouldn't throw in for Cruz. But if Donald was put in that seat instead of Cruz, I think it would be one more of those world shaker outcomes Donald is being known for.

Mitt keeps playing games....
He lost his election...
He got talked out of a run this year by Bush on the promise that Bush would pick him for VP.
But Mitt was backing a loser and Bush dropped out of the race.
So Mitt turns around and make a new deal with Cruz with the promise that Cruz will add his name to the list of VP.
Thus Mitt comes out with a strong statement against trump, to the point where Mitt is saying that if Trump leads the ticket all republicans should vote for Hillery.
So Mitt has placed his bet on Cruz leading the ticket.
But lets face it....once again Mitt is going to lose.
I think Mitt knows this....I think all of Mitt's supporters also know this.
I think thats the reason they now are pushing so hard for a brokered convention.
The longer Cruz stays in the race the better chance Mitt has to lead the ticket.
thus the huge wave of support for Cruz in Utah.....
thus the huge amount of support for Cruz by Beck too....
They are playing the game.....the same game that they keep losing.

I don’t agree on Mitt, his likelihood is too steep. And though they want to foster the notion that Cruz is said to exemplify Reagan more than any other, with bombshells like this (http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/03/24/washington-examiner-ted-cruz-pushed-dramatically-expand-muslim-migration-2013/), as one commenter mentioned “This issue alone should ensure that Trump makes it to 1237 delegates.” There’s plenty of time yet.

trump supported Hillary in the past, and supported abortion. and has had more than one wife. and now he is attacking mrs. Cruz.
but I guess he is a real saint to the anti mormons
Im also sure he tipped some waiter at a dinner in the past less than she wanted...
Here is the deal...he is not a politician,,,he is a business man,,,and when you are in business you have to try to make sure all the guys and girls with political power think you are on their side...
So you give them money when they call,,,you go to dinners and you stand next to them when they give a speech...you even get your photo taken with them...this is just the way you have to play the game to get people to listen to you when you want something done...
But right now,,,Trump is just Trump.
He is winning not because he reminds us of some other guy in the race...
Also,,,,what other person has talked about a wall at the border?........none!
What other guy in the race has talked about the fact they we are in a war against the religion of Islam?......no one!
So lets also face the fact that Trump is the only one in this whole race that is saying the things that i want said!
Cruz is a nice guy Im sure...and will make a great VP one day Im sure..
But Trump gets my vote...
As for attacking the wife of Cruz?...LOL....if I remember how this went down...Going into Utah the Cruz people came out with an ad that showed a nude wife of Trump.....and asked "Is this what you want for a 1st lady?"
I think what we are now seeing is that the Trump people are using this moment to warn the Hillery people that if they want to get dirty, then everything will be on the table.......
So the news in the last week has really nothing to do with the wife of Cruz.....its about showing the Hillery people that Trump is ready to bring up the "dress" of Monica......
But yes, in the short-term its also telling the Cruz people who ran the ad in Utah that if they want to fight it out dirty, then Trump people are way, way ahead of them in that game....
We shall see if the Cruz people take the hint....?
Sofar Cruz is just playing catch-up and simply is not saying the things I want to hear said....
alanmolstad
03-26-2016, 11:52 PM
see....the thing with Cruz is...that he never says anything I want to hear.
and when Cruz does say of do anything, its in response to what Trump is saying or doing...
Cruz is simply not a leader...
He is not saying things anyone is paying attention to.
Cruz is not showing any type of leadership....
Cruz is just playing Catch-up this whole election.

I keep hearing that Trump just "says the things that people want to hear" and that's why they like him. Which is interesting because what I haven't heard is what they think he will actually DO, they just keeping saying they like what he has to SAY. Apparently talk is more important than actual action.
So this guy is winning over a group of people just because he is saying what they want to hear. But then these same people believe he's also making sure all the "guys and girls with political power think he's on their side" even if he really isn't. So obviously you believe he's lying to somebody then right? How are you absolutely sure it's not you?
Sure sounds like a politician to me.

Ummm...he has not been elected yet....he cant actually "do" anything yet..
give the guy time dear...give the guy time.
Trump is winning because he is saying what people want to hear...and Cruz is not winning because he is not saying anything that matters to people.
Trump is saying things that matter to people.
It's like all the other people this year have no clue...
Trump will likely win.
Cruz will likely drop out and later resign from congress and retire.
Hillery will likely face some jail time...
Burney will likely die soon.
No one will remember anyone soon except for trump

the biggest difference in this election?, is that the Conservative vote was never split between too many people.
That happened when Mitt ran,,,thats how Mitt won over a huge field of good conservatives in the race when the Conservative vote got split between too many people and he came out on top.
But this time from the start there was no split of the conservative vote...
its been Trump from the start...

But you haven't mentioned one thing about what you think Trump can actually accomplish and why. (Except that you believe he gets things done by lying to people about his intentions) You just keep talking about how you like what he says.
I hate to break it to you Alan, but anybody can say absolutely anything. It doesn't mean they can or will do it. All this landslide for Trump proves is that "conservatives" are angry, and oh so gullible. It's embarr***ing really. It really is.
But in the end, you have no idea who Trump is really lying to, as long as he's memorable. Sounds like a great reason to want someone to be president.
Btw....I personally believe in the end, it will be him or Hillary....but of those two, it will not be decided by how much one of them is liked....it will merely be about how much the other one is hated.
I think this whole election is a joke and will come down to the lesser of two evils. Hopefully....because we can't have Hillary in the White House. But I think it's cute that you think she will end up in jail ;) you know that's never going to happen right?
I just find your logic interesting about going solely by what Trmup says, that you think he's being honest about his campaign promises (when you believe he lies when it suits him) and that the most important thing about this election is how memorable he'll be. (Obama will always be remembered too you know)
Just, interesting. Carry on lol

I expect him to start clearing out all the people that are in this country against the law.

Though anyone indeed can say anything as we all know, doesn’t mean things of necessity are being elaborated on without the benefit of posturing.
I’m beginning to lose count of the true politicians whom are masters of doublespeak over Trump initiated issues. They all voice their intentions of working for the voter, but none of them have laid-hold of the issue of working to counter the Washington machine like Trump. Honestly, I am a bit startled at your ribbing Trump supporters whom cherish the things the others were otherwise silent about at the start, such as issues of nat-sovereignty. You know, things like:
•	Secure your borders
•	Maintain a rule of law
•	Don’t let your citizens attack other countries
The list of aberrations on just these is currently astounding (which I maintain), in which all the field of candidates has at some point given their nod of approval over. You know life in the beltway they say is brutal and lacks reality to life. Not so with a businessman, he has to stay on top of reality, which is what causes the type of statements Donald makes. Rather than the usual Muslim code-phrases used over and over by the current WH occupant.
But I’ve watched Donald’s goings on since Barack’s first-term. If you recall, Donald has had an immense history with the liberal element back in the day and has always been fairly brilliant though a few of those bankruptcies served him hefty thorns in the side. So he has had to dust himself off, I’d say he has progressed quite nicely through fault and some other things we really don’t need in a leader, but keeps knocking at the door right up to his current rejection of political correctness.
Doesn’t all this resistance he has endured drag up even the smallest chance?
But back there in the first-term, while watching the liberal train appear on the occasionally leaked WH-party list, soon, I noticed a change. The Trump who was tootin in Barack’s corner awhile had grown silent after a few months. Then, keeping in mind the shrewd Donald began voicing opposing views I think about half-way through that first term. Confirmation number one; Donald has recently said on a number of occasions “I have evolved”. And so is his opposition with their paid protestors.
Then comes his first line of reasoning even before jumping in if I recall correctly:
“If a true leader doesn’t come forward for the office, I may”, or something to that effect.
But on his lack strategy, a front-runner doesn’t stay on top long if he has no substantive plans available. His 5-part economy plan he broke back last June:
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/06/17/the-man-with-a-plan-donald-trumps-5-part-strategy-to-make-america-great-again/
His “1-5-10-15” income tax plan was proposed back in August:
http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/donald-trump-unveils-his-bold-income-tax-proposal-this-is-a-big-deal/
Then there is the three-fold areas that drive his handling of immigration w/a sundry list of items within the plan:
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform
Now I don’t know how well you verify those who are counted as being on the watchman’s-wall for current issue and events, but this thing on substance with Trump has a two-way torrent to view. Among those whom make it their business to know things will either drivel the par out, or give you one more un-biased record to tuck away like this professional writer speaking for today’s information coming at us on conservative leadership under the likes of Trump:
“These are some of the most articulate and thoughtful people I read on a regular basis, and so far, I have not read a single, substantive critique of Trump.” – James Lewis
They say his foreign policy team he has listed are all every one conservative. Now this one surprised me when he approached Heritage’s Jim DeMint for a list of 7-10 Judges which he promised to choose one if elected.
Some of our conservative sites are totin the line for Calgary-Ted picturing his concerns for border-sec but refuses to report Donald continues to have open discussions with Border Control. The bias today is the worst I have ever seen in the GOP. Based upon his speech at the AIPAC summit, will be the strongest friend to Israel has had in a long time. The GOPe (establishment) member will be swattin at his team from day one I’m sure, like their fearful lives depended on it.
We all know now he isn’t a polished debater, not a learned lawyer and surely not someone vying for lucrative subsequence to the high-office 250K $Hillary “poor man’s” speaking engagements. He doesn’t need it. He’s already sacrificed a considerable portion of the farm over a hundred different situations.

So I dont really care that people say this or that about Trump,or bring up things he was doing years and years ago..
I just dont care...the only thing important to me is that Trump alone is saying the things I want said, and he is the only one who even comes close to expressing the anger that I feel.

Anger? You seem to do alright at funneling it. But I’m afraid some other weaker one out there might not be able. Unable to see it’s that same spirit of apathy behind anger that is driving some conservatives into the destructive madness of voting for Hillary. Anger has become America’s favorite pastime. People are obsessed with it and for good reason, but not enough reason. Not enough to resist what the scriptures warns us not to be taken into. I could give a flip about a lot of things being said right now. But we can’t afford to lose sight and coddle that anger to the point of obeying it. You remember, , those who, “obey, , wrath and indignation” (Rom 2:8). It can take on a life of its own.
But your reasoning recovers nicely.

wrong....
we will elect a man that will build a wall..close the open borders, strike a new deal with countries that have walked all over us, and destroy forces that now kill whole Christian families..
We will turn this country around, return us to a place where we have a voice that does not cause laughter.
We will get rid of government where it should not be.
we will stop putting blame on people that have not done anything wrong....
and we will be proud to say we are "American"
as far as Im concerned....they people that are not fed-up with the way Obama has harmed this country can stay home and hide under their beds..
The rest of us have a country to save....

I was afraid you were all fired up to go there. But to recommend more bedroom dwellers is exactly what I am taking about. That lack of articulating involvement today is what will grant more votes to that democratic felon, Hillary. I don’t see shooting ourselves in the foot the purpose to be had. We need all the help we can get if we are going to “save” a country.

wrong again...
The mess this country in is not just Obama's fault...the Republican Party was give control of Congress and did nothing....they kept their coffee warm...and they p***ed on standing up.
How did they ever come up with two guys like Mitt and McCain?
Both guys stabbed in the back the things and issues I care about.
Both guys if elected would have spent all their time doing things to be liked.....
They count on people just wanting everyone to get along..
They dont understand how ****ed the people in this country are...and how we now are going to stand up and vote for someone totally unconnected to the fail we have watched over the last few years...
The people that dont want to be part of saving this country should go hide under their beds...
I will tell you when its safe to come out.

Try again, I’m not into trying to restore my own alienation. What’s the difference between yours and there’s? You’re running over your own reasoning.

I'm more concerned that they like what he is saying.
About women "who can vote for that face." (Referring to the only Republican candidate who was a women) followed by "“I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
About Muslims "Ban the Muslims"
About Mexicans "They're rapists..and I ***ume some are good people."
About how he views the average citizens intelligence "“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of *ss.”
His response to terrorism "take out their families" (in other words, kill innocent children because of the crimes of their parents.)
Add to this his deplorable lack of morality and his multiple failed business ventures and his past stances on abortion---that "evangelicals" see him as saying what they want to hear?? Really?

all I need to see is -
About Muslims "Ban the Muslims"
AMEN!
That right there is allI need to hear to vote for TRUMP!!!
no other guy in the race has the stones to say what the truth is...
I have yet to hear Trump say one thing during this election that was not truth, or what I disagree with...

his deplorable lack of morality
No question about the aspect of a flawed Christian model (though he does honor the Christ and bible). There is something being handed to us here that we have failing miserably at, who’s telling the truth? How does the teetering Trump un-orthodox methods benefit? Authenticity.
I see your point, but with some of the havoc that is going on right off the charts, yes, the lesser of evil concessions have arrived.
Hello btw.

I think if things work out for my guy Trump in the next 2 weeks, that this will all be over...and Trump will turn all his attention to Hillery...

I think Christians are finally putting Beck in his place - he doesn't even worship the Christian God, much less practice any discernment, since he thinks Jews and Muslims get "inspiration."
next thing you know he will say that calvinists get inspiration
that's when you will know he is really nuts

Im right at every point, and any who disagree with me are now shown to be wrong.
Its case-closed,,,I knew what I was talking about from the beginning, and I predicted everything that later happened as I said it would.
