Can you just imagine, folks, if some Christian evangelist said the following:
"I combat the errors of the ages;...I solve mathemtatical problems of universities, with truth--diamond truth; and God is my right hand man." [1843]
"God made Aaron to be the mouth piece for the children of Israel, and He will make me be a god to you in His stead." [1844]
"I have more to boast of than ever any man had...I boast that no man ever did such a work as I." [1844] (All taken from History of the Church, Vol. 6)
These are the words of a mentally disturbed man. Nobody would say the above unless they were delusional or fully demon possessed. Yet, these are the words of none other than JOSEPH SMITH, JR., founder of Mormonism.
Did Joseph Smith suffer from this mental disorder:
"Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder, characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others." (Wikipedia)
I'd say the chances are pretty good that he did. Just one example: Smith went to Heber Kimball and told him he wanted Heber's wife, Vilate, as a plural wife. Heber was crushed - but being a "true believer," finally came around and told Joe he could, indeed, have Vilate if that was the Lord's will. Then Joe laughed, and said, it was only a test, that it was Helen, his fourteen year old daughter, that God had really given him as a wife in polygamy.
Here is that story and others: http://www.exmormon.org/mormon/mormon262.htm
The ravings of a lunatic? Or the calculated effort to hurt and diminish the humanity of Heber Kimball by a psychopathic narcissist who had no feelings for others, but cared only to fulfill his own diabolical lusts?
