I joined this forum hoping to get info on this guy. I can find nothing on him pertaining to his legitimacy. I heard him on the radio and he seemed twisted but couldn't put my finger on it? Is he New Age? Please answer since I joined this board specifically wanting some answers. Could find nothing of warning about his teaching when I googled him. thank You.

Greetings,

There are tapes availble here on this website (http://www.serve.com/rini/cart/perlshop.cgi) that are a dialogue with Roy Masters and Walter Martin. There is a button that will let you listen to a small sample of the CD. It is near the bottom of the page, I just searched the page for Masters and found it that way. It is one that is actually downloadable, no waiting for the CD.

I get what you are saying about RM being twisted. For example (I believe this is in the CD) where Walter Martin wanted to set some basic rules for the debate. Nothing weird but basic things like "Words get their meaning by definition in their proper/given context". Roy Masters would not agree to that. Now it comes to mind if he could not agree to it how did he know what he was refusing to agree to? I believe that they were going to talk of the resurrection which RM denies happend in bodily form (it has been many years since I have thought about this as I heard Walter discuss it on the radio many moons ago so I may be wrong about this). This may get posted on the listening library in the future, ask Jill, they may put it up.

Blessings,

MacG

I don't think he is actually running for president.

I very much doubt that any one man could solve all our countries problems. But we can see that we must start to be more proactive in dealing with problems rather than just react to them.
