Richard Dawkins, Bill Maher and other atheists have taken the lead as the latest prominent voices of the "New Atheism" have now launched the straw man proclamation that Christians believe in "an invisible man in the sky".
This helps me agree with atheists who say there is no God.
If what they mean by "God" is "an invisible man in the sky", I have to agree. There is no such God, or at least I see no reason to think there is.
On the other hand, the reality is, Christian theology does NOT promote the idea of "an invisible man in the sky", so this is apparently just the latest faddish deliberate (or perhaps ignoran t) misrepresentation of what Christians DO affirm.
But again, if by "God" atheists mean "an invisible man in the sky", when they positively conclude that there is no "God", I have to agree with them. I am quite confident that there is no invisible man in the sky.
