Jesus asked "Who do you think I am?"

The reason he asked that was to get the guys to find the answer..

Jesus knew their hearts.

I dont believe up to that moment the guys knew who Jesus really was...even Peter didnt know.

By asking the question Jesus forced the guys to think about the subject and seek out an answer.

The answer was not known until After the question came up....
