Default Graham Cooke?....any information about him?

I get a lot of stuff sent to me over the years that has been written by a man named "Graham Cooke" but when I read it it seems just a bit "off" to my ear.

I cant put my foot on it, but something is just not correct at some type of fundamental level about some of his writings.

Once in a while I read something from him and I get the feeling that it comes close to "Name it/Claim it"

I will give you an example.
""Jesus is the door into every situation. He is the door into employment. He is the door into health. He is the door into healing. He is the door into wholeness. He is the door in every relationship. As you press into Him, space will open up that is designed for you to occupy."

Im not sure, but when I read this stuff I get the real feeling that this guy is just making stuff up that sounds good to many people, but really is not true.

As can be seen here, he is well thought of.

But there seem to be one thing he doesn’t deal very much with – contentment.

Look at this one statement here: “toward a higher dimension”. Such as that quotation you gave in the OP.

“For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.” (Romans 12:3)
It’s all about the push to that greener pasture message. Quite nearly if you ask me, this lecturer deals with capitalizing on un-thankfulness merely by what little I have seen from him, and there is a bit of a stack to go through. But I don’t see anything to lead me to think differently.

It appears to be that the listening ear pays off Alan. A lot of people, and yes I am not talking about anything but those who call upon Him, churched or not, many in leadership wish to paralyze the listener to think of both discontentment and impatience. Two things required to resist to adore our Father in heaven by faith.

But recognizing failures can be dicey for the Pastor of their flock. On the one hand:

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.” (Hebrews 10:24)
This, Mr Graham Cooke does well, but does that motivation include:

”If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, , , who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.” (I Timothy 6:3,5,6)
Dangerous? If his teachings don’t hold up to verse six of the above, yes!

    Mike.

I get a lot of his stuff posted to me by my church friends.
Much I dont have any issue with at all
It's just not my personal cup of tea thats all.

But every once in a while I am sent something that I just think is questionable...
