Mentions of God punishing/holding responsible the children for the sins of the fathers are made in several places in the Bible.
There are also places in the Bible that say the sons shall not be punished for their father’s sin and that everyone is responsible for their own sin. This, to me, represents a contradiction and it’s one of the evidences against the Bible being the product of a divinely perfect being.
