Default Jesus prayed to HIS FATHER, not to Himself.

So WHO is this 'Father' that Jesus prayed to?

Or do you believe Jesus prayed to Himself? That Jesus IS HIS OWN FATHER?

    Comments?

    yes, Jesus prayed to himself...

well, actually he prayed to this other guy named Jeff who ran a street-sweeping business just out of town

( or was it a Christmas tree farm?...I forget)

    The answer is:
The Word was with God, the Word was God.
Jesus was the Word made flesh.
The flesh is the flesh of a fully human person.
Because Jesus was a fully human person, he had to pray to the same God the Father that all men also pray to.

So Jesus did not pray to himself. but rather he prayed to the same God the Father that we do.

So Jesus' body prayed to His soul, huh? Hmm, my body never prays to my own soul. Neither do I pray to God with only my body. My heart and soul are fully engaged. I suspect Jesus' heart and soul were also fully engaged when praying to HIS FATHER.

STRANGE 'jesus' you believe in! Not the one in the BIBLE. Yours seems to have a split personality, one personality being man, the other being god. And his two voices talk to each other. . .

Does YOUR left nature talk to your right nature? Do natures converse?

Or is a person ONE PERSON?

Jesus Christ was ONE PERSON, not a split personality with one person praying to another, or with one 'nature' praying to another.

Only the oneness nuts believe he talked to (prayed to) himself.

Nope it is Not. ONE dual nature. ONE person. NOT two persons, one of whom talks to the other. NOT schizophrenic.

One person who talks to himself? Is that it? HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU TALKED TO YOUR BODY NATURE, YOUR SOUL NATURE, and your SPIRIT NATURE LATELY? Did you do it OUT LOUD?

    Jesus is NOT schizophrenic.

    Jesus has two natures...

    he is 100% God Almighty
    he is 100% human

Two natures....within the one single person.
    That is Christ.

Son of God and Son of man.

Son of God and Son of man.

I see three persons in one God:

We can have fellowship with the Father, 1 John 1:3; he knows, Matthew 6:6-8; he teaches, Matthew 16:17; he loves, John 16:27; he is a witness, John 8:18; he has a will, John 5:30.

We can have fellowship with the Son, 1 John 1:3; he knows, Matthew 11:27; he teaches, John 1:18, Rev. 2:18; he loves, Romans 8:35, Gal. 2:20; he is a witness, John 8:18; he has a will, John 5:30; he can be grieved, John 11:35.

We can have fellowship with the Holy Spirit, Philippians 2:1, II Cor. 13:14; he knows, I Cor. 2:11; he teaches, Luke 12:12, I Cor. 2:13; he loves, Romans 15:30; he is a witness, Acts 20:23, Romans 8:16; he has a will, I Cor. 12:11; he can be grieved, Ephesians 4:30.

The Father sent His Son. Jesus prayed to the Father. Jesus and the Father sent the Holy Spirit.

The Father and Son love and honor each other:
"The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand." (John 3:35)
"For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel." (John 5:20)
"But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do." (John 14:31)

    Love,

all we will ever know of God, is given us in the Son....

and, that is why when they asked the Son, "Show us the Father" that He answered the way He did...

    so once again:

The way that God is God...is that God is in 3 persons.
    All are God.
    All are equally God.
but the Son is not the father ....nor is the father the Son.
The Father the Son and the Spirit are all different persons.
3 persons within the one true God.

Thus the Father can talk to the Son and the Son can submit to the father..and the Son and the father can love each other...

What church teaches that Jesus has only one nature?
