    Interesting video.

The whole argument of theistic evolution has to rely on "A Day" really meaning millions of years.

It's like they can't just rely on a straight forward reading of the text.

"And the evening and the morning were the first day.".....so what is the straight forward reading of the words "evening and morning"?

a 24 hour day. when the qualifiers like evening and morning are placed in scripture they always refer to one 24 hour day.

Ok,,,here is what the term "Evening" refers to.-

When the earth spins and the location you are at turns away from the sun, you will see the sun appear to lower in your sky until it disappears at the horizon.

    We call that "evening"

    DUH!......

Now Im not sure what type of "evening" other people enjoy, but here in North Dakota we know when its evening by just looking at the sun's location in our sky.

So what you need then to actually have a real 'evening" is the following -
#1 - you need the sun
#2 - you need the earth, and it has to be rotating in its orbit around the sun
#3 - you need an observer on the earth so that your observer can look up and see the movement of the sun in the sky as the earth spins and the sun appears to lower in the sky and disappear at the horizon.

That is why we have something called a "evening' and that is the very same understanding we find in Genesis!

Nothing is different about the 'evenings" in Genesis and our own today.

The reason for the word in Genesis and what it talking about is the same true for us today...

nothing has changed....the word and its understanding remain the same...

so,,,what this means is that when the Bible makes use of the common word "evening" that right then and there in the story we already have the 3 basic things we need to make this word "evening' ring true.

    We have the sun...................

    We have the earth...............

    We have an observer...........

all 3 things are talked about in the very first few verses of Genesis, and that is the reason the Bible can use the word "evening"
There is no reason to try to twist into the text a different understanding of the word at all !
