A question to the board members--when we find the term "faith" in the scriptures--is that a reference to a faith with works--or a reference to a faith without works?

I have an ever more authoritative source for the role of faith and works:

Alan--could you explain for us how one could avoid Paul's condemnation above--without obeying the commandments?

I only see the verses that talk about works. Where are the ones you claim speak of faith? There are many. Can you bring yourself to post ALL of them, rather than just the ones that alone, present a false dilemma?

James and Paul approach the same subject from different perspectives. Paul simply emphasized that justification is by faith alone while James put emphasis on the fact that genuine faith alone in Christ produces good works.
