    Default LDS Legs fail them. . .there was NO COMPLETE APOSTASY.

    One leg, without which mormonism fails completely, is the theory that Christ's church failed, was lost, lost its authority to act for God, etc.

    The BIBLE says otherwise.

    JESUS was NOT A FAILURE, did not build a religion that would ever fail or lose it's Gospel or it's authority.

    Joe smith just lied, CLAIMING that lie.

    Does any mormon THINK he can show IN THE BIBLE where it says that those things could happen.

    And since they didn't. . .

    smith's new religion is a fraud.

    The question is, how can Smith claim that all religions are wrong when Jesus and God started both Judaism and Christianity? There is no documentary or ms. that provides any support for Smith's claims about either. There are people who like to alter the meanings of certain biblical p***ages but they too do not enjoy any textual support. All ms. support the way the Bible was translated in the KJV, NIV 1984 and NASB versions. Mormons need to produce proof that Smith's claim about all religions being wrong is correct

    Then could you explain for us why the need for the Reformation--where numerous new denominations were created--with a different theology?

    Where did the Reformers arrive at their authority to start new denominations--with a different theology? What heavenly event?

    Acts 3:21--King James Version (KJV)
    21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of res***ution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

    anyone can start a church, they do not need spiritual authority nor the truth to do that. smith provides an excellent example of this

    Hi David:

    Where do we find anything about someone starting their own church in the NT--other than those who were appointed apostles of Christ, and authorized by Christ? Where do we find more than one denomination in the NT--which Christ approved of?

    Ephesians 2:20--King James Version (KJV)
    20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

    David--that was the living, mortal apostles and prophets.
