Default Why rail against something NO CHRISTIAN believes

dberrie keeps whining against 'faith only theology' which HE redefines as believing that CHRISTIANS do not do the works of God.

    NOBODY BELIEVES THAT.

berry is also confused because he seems to think you must 'do those good works' IN ORDER to receive faith in Jesus. He is IGNORANT of the fact that we CHRISTIANS were saved by ONLY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, and we DO good works because God prepared us for those works ahead of time (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Even though he has been SHOWN that NOBODY BELIEVES AS HE PRETENDS, he keeps posting the same stupid post, like it is an obsession he has.

Why do you think he does that? What do you think he is trying to 'prove' or change IN ANYBODY?

    Hi Christian:

Cite, please. I have never made any such claim.

What was claimed is--the faith alone preach a gospel of obtaining salvation through a faith without works--which the Biblical record testifies against:

    James 2:20-26--King James Version (KJV)
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

That is an excellent demonstration of LDS theology--but anathema to faith alone theology.

Default FAITH is accounted by GOD as RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Your imaginary 'faith alone theology' is your own trash and is making you look ignorant.

So you think YOU need to 'help God' to pay for your sins? Not according to MY BIBLE.

    Rom 4:5-8
5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
7 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
    And whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin."
    NKJV

berry, you always seem ready to try to force scripture to contradict what GOD HAS SAID. Why is that?

BTW, my point about all of the mormons seeming to abandon you and your railings is still true.

Why do you suppose THAT IS?

Faith alone theology is not imaginary:

Sola fide--From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sola fide (Latin: by faith alone), also known as justification by faith alone, is a Christian theological doctrine that distinguishes most Protestant denominations from the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and some parts of the Restoration Movement.

The doctrine of sola fide ***erts God's pardon for guilty sinners is granted to and received through faith alone, excluding all "works".

So you think YOU need to 'help God' to pay for your sins? Not according to MY BIBLE.
Jesus Christ paid for the sins of the whole world--without anyone's help:

1 John 2:2--King James Version (KJV)
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

But to receive of Christ's Blood unto the remission of sins--one must walk in the light:

1 John 1:7---King James Version (KJV)
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

    Rom 4:5-8
5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly,
Jesus Christ justified all men of life--including the ungodly--by absolving them of the condemnation which befell all men due to the Fall. Now--all men may inherit eternal life, as a free gift:

    Romans 5:18----King James Version (KJV)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
