My answer is that at times any Christian can slip up, and find themselves swept away by the power of the flesh to tempt us to do evil.
The difference between Christians and the Lost is not that we are 'better"
The difference is that we are forgiven and they are not.
Thats the point.
The sins of man are common to all men.
I dont face less temptations just because Im a Christian.
The difference is that I have a relationship with my Lord, and it is the nature of this relationship that is "better" than what the Mormons or JWs have.
I have the Spirit in me, and while at times the Spirit might have to deal with the errors of a Christian's flesh, the truth is that because we do have the Spirit in us we are never left to just stay in the muck of our sins.
the Spirit lifts us out...it drives us back to the cross, it holds us fast to the faith.
We are clean.
We are made clean...
and it keeps on cleaning us each day.
So this means that regardless of the sin that the christian has dipped down into doing , (insert your own list of sins here) you need not fear that you have sinned too much to be forgiven.
You need never think that god has run out of forgiveness or that your sins are too many in number or too bad to yet come to the Lord, confess/repent and be made clean .
