A new survey finds Christianity is no longer the default faith of most Americans.

The survey was conducted by The Barna Group, which found that half of Americans believe Christianity is just one of many options for genuine faith. George Barna, the group's founder, believes the study confirms that more Americans are adopting a pluralistic mindset.

"Americans are increasingly very accepting of a diverse array of faiths," he notes. "They're less likely to think that Christianity is right or accurate in what it teaches."

According to Barna, the survey also finds that many Americans are adopting their own ideas about faith, apart from God's Holy Word.

George Barna"What we find is that people are deriving their biblical literacy and their views of spirituality from conversations that they have with friends, and they give that equal weight to things they might get in church or from other religious settings," he points out. "They'll get their faith views from their own personal reflections as well as from their personal experiences and observations."

The survey reveals that most Americans still call their faith an important source of personal and moral guidance.

No the Falling Away has not yet begun,though most the things are in place for it to start,except for the Fourth Jewish Temple which has not been built, for it to be later defiled by the Abomination of Desolation being placed in a wing of the Holy Temple ( Which then becomes the Beast's Palace City) who he ''Adorns the Temple'' with Royality of Purple Linen and Pearls and Precious Stones, and that's how the Sanctuary of God's Temple is made unclean by the Beast's Statue and the Decking of the Temples appearance to decieve the Saints to love PROSPERITY OF WORLDLY TREASURES that delight the eye ........

Could you share the scripture that describes this please?

There are great adulterations of the truth masquerading as Christian. The cults are a case in point. Denominational splits over human interpretations and the Roman Catholic stripping away of the Jewishness of the faith regurgitated in the Protestant denominations...

All that aside... no the great falling away will occur when the false messiah will convince all but the true believers that he is the true Messiah. Then the betrayal mentioned in Matthew 24 / Mark 13 brother will betray brother to death... will occur.

Modern Churches seem to be more concerned about not offending the world we live in and preserving tax exempt status than they are in condemning evil. Most of our elected officials who claim to be devout Catholics don't value human life or marriage. None of these people are excommunicated or denied communion.

There is a falling away, just as end times prophecy talks about.

Believe the Bible, when the false Messiah convinces all but the true believers that he is the real Messiah and Jesus was a fraud... then... you will see a falling away that makes the false prophets and humanists in the pulpits for the last 2000 years seem like holy and devout apostles...

This character will have to convince all the peoples of the world who are devoted to their religions, skepticism, atheism, humanism that he is the savior of the world eventually to claiming he is God above every god.

And Jesus himself said that if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived.

It doesn't take Einstein to figure out that the one group (Christians) who will not believe or follow this guy will become the global personas non grata. Everything that goes wrong in the world will be blamed on the Christians and our stubborn refusal to bow the knee to the antichrist.

If you think about it... the mark of the beast doesn't have to be complicated. It could be just a symbol a hexagon with six triangles; a six pointed star for example showing the bearer of the mark is en***led to buy and sell because they are a worshiper of the beast.

Because the mark itself will be a simple non technological graphic tracking device / system used to track down the one people on earth who will not accept the mark.

Brother will betray brother to death... this will be the time of the patience of the saints to be faithful unto death.

When it comes down to that big a risk then you will find many falling away.

According to 2nd Thessalonians 2, the falling away must occur first, after which the beast/man of lawlessness will exalt and reveal himself.

2nd Thessalonians 2....

" Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

The falling away comes before the day of the Lord in the verse....I dont think its saying that the falling away needs to come before man-of-Lawlessness comes.
